»News from Amiata« was created a few years ago on the initiative of Mariolina Camilleri, illustrator and Alessandra Sardoni, television journalist and moderator at La7.

The two Roman women invite every year in the summer (first weekend in August) personalities from science, business and culture for public discussion and discussion.

This years guests are Marco Damilano, Dario Fabbri, Antonella Viola, Enrico Mentana, Tommaso Labate, Sabino Cassese, Giuseppe de Filippi, Stefano Bartezzaghi, Stefano Mancuso, Giancarlo Loquenzi.

Venues are the Giardino di Daniel Spoerri, the municipalities of Seggiano, Santa Fiora, Arcidosso and Castel del Piano.

The Foundation »Il Giardino di Daniel Spoerri – Hic Terminus Haeret« is excited to be launching a new creative workshop »Concerning Olives«. In this workshop participants will get the chance to explore cultural developments and practices that have shaped the Tuscan landscape for centuries.

Through physical activity combined with creative activities such as drawing and storytelling participants will explore cultural tradition and an artistic approach to a man-made landscape.

We are proud to announce our upcoming participation at the Giornata del Arte Contemporanea. The Giardino will be free off charge on October 12th.

Meeting point 17h30 at the ticket office, brief introduction to the Giardino and its history, then guided tour of the garden with Giovanna Longo, art historian and tourist guide from Castel del Piano. We walk through the park with its installations and discover art and nature in one of the most important contemporary art gardens in Tuscany. The works are explained, interpretations discussed, the talks then intensified with a glass of wine.

The Giardino would like to invite you for an evening event that traces the close relationship between dance and sculpture in the artist interdisciplinary practice. Though Daniel Spoerri is best known as a visual artist his earliest practice was dance.

We are excited to announce the next upcoming event at Il Giardino:

Concentrating on artist interventions in heritage preservation we would like to invite you to have a closer look at the early development of the Giardino.

Residents of the surrounding municipalities are invited to visit the Giardino for free every 1st Sunday of the month, starting in September. Free admission for residents of Seggiano, Castel del Piano, Arcidosso and Santa Fiora on the following days:
