Artist Roland Topor at the Giardino di Daniel Spoerri

Roland Topor

Born in Paris in 1938 where he also died in 1997.

Topor is associated with satiric drawings and his black humour but he was multi-talented and also practiced as an actor. Some might remember him as the fly-eating secretary in Werner Herzog´s version of »Nosferatu«.
»The Entangled Seamstress« at the »Giardino« is an homage by Daniel Spoerri to his intimate friend after his death. The sculpture has been constructed after a drawing by Topor.
