ARS MORIENDI
2006
lead, wood, synthetic resin, thin sheet metal
This installation could be viewed at an exhibition in the architecture faculty of the University of Florence in 2006, then at the Fondazione Mudima in Milan in 2007 (Catalogue Gillo Dorfles, Francesca Consonni). It comprises three sculptures that present lifesize elephant bodies in various stages of decomposition. A series of »cameras« observe the »elephants«; iin reality, however, the cameras are just dumb and powerless witnesses of a natural tragedy.
