When Josef Maria Odermatt died in 2011, the widow of the Swiss artist presented the foundation with one of his early sculptural works. The squat, abstract form was hand-forged by Odermatt. The object, with its two large »feelers«, is directed towards the villa of the Giardino. In his early works, Odermatt eschewed welding, instead placing greater emphasis on manually working the material through physical exertion.
