At the summer exhibition »Isola del lago« in 2006 Carolein Smit impressed the visitors of the Isola Bella with an approx. 60-cm high, white glazed ceramic figure. The figure set with a multitude of fine hairs shaped like icicles points with outstretched finger at the visitors and seems to warn them to stay on the threshold. Spoerri, who had long wanted a grotto for his park, had a cave constructed by Enrico Alessandri, in which the Magdalene now leads a hermetic existence.
