iron, barbed wire
This chair group covered with barbed wire, which is not at all as uncomfortable as it looks, clearly shows that you have to reckon with surprises when you install works in the open air. The seats stood almost invisible beneath the drooping branches of a weeping willow tree. However, the tree fell victim to a storm, old age or simple over-enthusiastic gardening and the idyllic, secluded seating was lost. Luciano Ghersi is an artist who weaves. He uses all sorts of materials, including barbed wire. His Italian title declares the chairs to be a good seat for the government, which, in Italy and elsewhere, should not be able to sit back in comfort.
