plastic threads, feathers, sisal cord
In the middle of a small wood close to the residential buildings of the Giardino, Nora Schöpfer has erected three »Spaces of Time«. The delicacy of these bodies of thread addresses a maxim which Daniel Spoerri has upheld for the majority of the works in the Giardino: Art shouldn’t obtrude, it should be discovered, in hollows, behind hedges or exposed brickwork. Fine coloured lines mark out cuboid bodies. They float and yet are not blown away or put out of shape by gusts of wind. We encounter a ghostly geometry, precise, definite and yet very light.
